U.S. Senator Gordon Smith (R-Oregon) cites work with Obama to prove he’s beyond gridlock

Oregon Senator Gordon Smith

When the Republican Senators start invoking Senator Barack Obama’s name in their ads for re-election, as indicative that they can be relied on to work in a bi-partisan manner to do what’s right for the country… a shift in the mood of the voters is at hand. And so I offer you a campaign ad from Oregon’s junior U.S. Senator, Gordon Smith.

The power and influence of the incumbent U.S. President is not making most people in his party proud to be wearing that label, presently. Frankly, the labels are part of the problem: they over-simplify, and those generalizations always gloss over the diversity of opinions and positions.
