Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Raitt say “Yes we Can”
“Yes We Can” is the new musical and video tribute to Senator Barack Obama’s campaign for President by Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Raitt. Zennie Abraham (of Zennie’s Zeitgeist, one of the blogs selected to cover the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August of this year) was asked to co-produce and distribute the video on behalf of Maria Muldaur, Bonnie Raitt, and Joel Joseph of Studio B Recording in Sausilito, CA.
It’s not to be confused with the first great “Yes We Can” video and song by will.i.am, a terrific and pioneering work of its own.
Incidentally, you can hear these Muldaur and Raitt singing together on My Journey to the Sky, too, courtesy of last.fm — their voices and styles work well together. The track is from the album, “Shout Sister, Shout – a Tribute to Sister Rosetta Tharpe” originally released almost five years ago.
